Job Description

Dasher Technologies is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer in the Houston, TX area. As a member of the Engineering team, the Technical Sales Engineer interacts directly with clients and other members of the Dasher team to design and implement a technology solution to a business challenge. The Technical Sales Engineer will have a high level of technical expertise for all of the services and products offered by Dasher Technologies.

Minimum Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position can provide both technical presales support to direct Sales Team and provide Post Sales deployment services; including, providing on-going support to Dasher’s existing customers. As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will have a wealth of experience and knowledge in tiered Enterprise IT solutions. You must have the ability to architect, present, implement, and support the products and services provided by Dasher Technologies. The Technical Sales Engineer will have a high level of technical expertise in multiple areas of the HP product line; including, Industry Standard Servers (ISS), StorageWorks Division (SWD), Business Critical Systems (BCS), ProCurve, and HP Software Solutions. Experience with VMware and Citrix products is required. Direct experience with products such as Dell servers and storage, EMC, IBM, Sun and Juniper is desired. An understanding of Cisco routing, switching and security products is desired.

The Technical Sales Engineer operates in a multi-function role often consisting of; project management, document management, system analyst, system architect, implementation, and training. Because our Technical Sales Engineer routinely operate in a dynamic customer environment, they must feel comfortable in a highly versatile role with rapidly changing conditions.

Travel is required for this position.

Bachelor's degree in related field is desired, 6+ years of experience in related field required

Technical certification required:
HP ASE level certification in one or more specializations, MCP or MCSE, RHCT or RHCE, VMware VCP
Technical certifications desired: Cisco CCNA or CCNP, EMCTA

Practical Experience with:
• HP Blade systems c7000 and c3000
• HP EVA FC and Lefthand iSCSI Storage Arrays
• HP Storage Archiving Solutions
• HP DL Servers Solutions
• VMware vCenter and vSphere
• Citrix XenServer and XenDesktop
• Experience administering a Microsoft Enterprise environment
• Experience administering a Linux Enterprise environment
• LAN/WAN/WLAN implementation and design
