PRODUCT REPAIR

In House Labor Rates

• Desktop PC, laptops, printers - $65.00 per hour
• Deskjets - $65.00 per hour no estimate fee (this does not include business inkjet series or plotters)
• Plotters - $80.00 per hour
• Unix based workstations - $115.00 per hour/$50.00 estimate fee
• Intel based netserver - $70.00 per hour
• Storage units - $70.00 per hour
• Ups battery backup with be flat rate per unit

All units listed above have a $45.00 estimate fee unless otherwise noted.

 TDI will do inhouse repair on any make or model Printer and PC.

On-site Service Labor Rates

• Printers - $80.00 per hour
• Plotters - $130.00 per hour
• Unix based workstation, Storage units - $130.00 per hour* /$80.00 estimate fee
• Netservers - $120.00 per hour
• PC's - $90.00 per hour

*Plus $65.00 per hour for each additional technician, if needed.

Time will start when technician leaves TDI and will stop when technician leaves customer’s site.  Requests for on-site service same day must be logged in before 2:00pm, all calls received later will be placed on hold for next day.  Service hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, excluding TDI holidays.

Information needed from customer before going on-site:

• customer’s complete information (name, address, phone, e-mail, fax)
• model # and serial # of product to be serviced
• description of problem
• operating system customer is running (Windows 98/2000/NT)
• name and phone number of contact person technician will need to see on-site
• payment method
• tax-exempt status

All repairs (in-house and on-site) must have warranty stickers!  The warranty will cover labor for 30 days and part installed for 90 days.

On-site System Configuration

• Unix based workstations,Netservers - $130.00 per hour/$80.00 estimate fee
• PC’s, Printers,Plotters - $115.00 per hour/$80.00 estimate fee
• $65.00 per hour for each additional technician

• TDI onsite travel will be in a 100 mile radius of TDI main office located at 554 37th Street north Birmingham AL. 35222
•   Logging any call over 100 mile radius of TDI there will be a cost of 50 cent per addition mile over.

On-site System Configuration Terms

• One technician will go on-site to determine customer’s needs.  Customer will be charged the $80.00 estimate fee plus appropriate mileage fee.  The estimate fee will be applied toward the labor rate if customer decides to have TDI perform the needed configuration.  All estimates will include configuration and if needed hardware pricing.  Only technicians will give estimates.
• If hardware is needed, technician will work with a sales representative for hardware pricing. 
• Quote will be good for 90 days.  After 90 days, TDI will need to revisit customer’s site for a new evaluation.  Estimate fee and mileage will be charged.
• All system configuration and setup will carry a 180 day warranty from the date of completion.
• All configurations will be performed by a certified technician from the service department

 

RETURNS

 

Please contact Ted Dasher Inc (TDI) at 800-638-4833 x 211 to obtain a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) before shipping the product back to TDI.  A restocking fee up to 20% may apply.

Please provide the following information when requesting an RMA:

Customer Purchase Order number, Invoice number, Serial number (if applicable), reason for return, action requested (replacement, repair, credit) and whether the original box has been opened.

 

Please return all products 100% complete including the original manufacturer boxes, manuals, warranty cards, and accessories.

 

Customer is responsible for shipping charges to TDI in Birmingham, AL for all products being shipped for return, exchange, or replacement.  Products exchanged or replaced will be shipped by TDI to Customer, at TDI’s expense, using the same shipping method as was used by the customer to ship the original product to TDI.  If the carrier selected by the Customer is not used by TDI, a comparable shipping method will be selected.

 

Customer is responsible for all risk of loss and damage to products being shipped for return, exchange, or replacement.
